Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co., TN
2015 May 12

This Tuesday morning I walked from the west parking lot to Long Bridge
and back. Plenty of early birders out listening and looking for
Wilson's, Mourning, and Connecticut Warblers that I neither heard nor
saw. Today was a BLACKPOLL biltz, with numerous males singing, I
saw at least 6 females as well. Many of them were at eye level and provided good looks. It certainly was a changing of the guard from
the Palm Warbler invasion of last week. I found a single PALM
today along with 2 singing CANADA WARBLERs. Also foisting its presence
on me was a LEAST FLYCATCHER at "Grassy" Point near the currently
non-existent deck on the Lake Trail. He sang his CHEbek call
repeatedly from the cedar trees there and provided good looks from
down under.

I'll try again for the warblers tomorrow.
