We finally got our 1st Purple finch at the house. It was a female, and only stayed around about 5 minutes after I spotted it. The white streaks on the head were immediately obvious. The snow and ice brought in several House Finches and Goldfinches, but also brought some of the White-throated Sparrows from the woods behind the house, a Song Sparrow, two Red-bellied Woodpeckers (saw the red betweed the legs when one turned upside-down), one male Red-winged Blackbird, one Bluejay, 3 juncos, two Field Sparrows, three Mourning Doves, three Cardinals, and a Starling.
