4-12-07 Radnor Lake Davidson Co. Our NTOS Wednesday Walk at Radnor Lake yesterday got rained out, but I was able to get out today and saw a couple new species. There was an OSPREY with a fish flying around the east end and then perched. I had a beautiful male PROTHONOTARY WARBLER at Prothonotary Corner (corner of dam road and Otter Creek Rd.) foraging in a bare tree. So many of the trees that were already leafed out were hit hard by the freeze last weekend and are brown. There were also 3 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSHES (one at each end and one at Long Bridge), 1 WHITE-EYED VIREO, and lots of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS. All the swallows, martins and swifts continue to swarm over the lake.
