There is still a mixed raft of ducks on the lake west from Anderson Road
Rec Area. The composition of the flock probably changes day to day, but this
is today's mix. Numbers are very rough and conservative estimates. Even
with a scope and good viewing conditions, identification is a stretch, an
exercise in patience. The birds stay more or less in the middle of one of the
widest parts of the lake, and there is no good public viewing opportunity
from the west side (Elm Hill Rec Area is closed in winter).
