Rutherford County, TN
After not birding for three days in a row I finally broke free (was
starting to have withdrawals) and headed to the Field Trial Area this morning.
Luckily the Red-Breasted Mergansers were still there or another flock had
flown in 34 in total. Horned Grebes in breeding plumage are still present,
along with Common Loons in breeding plumage. Bonapart's Gulls are flying
around in Breeding Plumage also. Some still have the ear spot. Also had a 8
Mallards and 50 Blue-winged Teal. Red-Breasted Merganser was a new bird for
the County.
