I had a delightful surprise when i arrived home from work this afternoon -
three Pine Siskins on our thistle seed sacks! Two females and a male with only
a small amount of yellow. How can we have Pine Siskins at the end of April??
We've been in this house eight and a half years, and we've never seen Pine
Siskins here or in the neighborhood.

We've also been visited by a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak for the last two days.
Only our second time here for this elegant bird.
