Numbers of Pine Siskin here (west of Chattanooga) today were 320+. So far
they are all healthy with no signs of salmonella. There are only about a
dozen American Goldfinches here. I've been moving the feeders to different
locations on the property and leaving no old seed droppings to try to
prevent an outbreak of illness. Also, I take feeders inside when it rains
and always before dark. There is a demolition expert which visits here
after dark if feeders are left outside.
