Note that this is a two-lane state highway with high-speed logging truck traffic, and this is one of the few good passing zones. Drivers will be intent on getting around the slowpoke in front of them and may not be paying attention to business happening on the shoulder. I believe this is the location of a multiple-fatality motorcycle-pickup truck collision a few months ago caused by unsafe passing. So BE ALERT, BE CAREFUL, and pull completely off the highway!
