There are three now, I suspect, since I first reported one to this list
September 27, 2018 from an upper floor of the 5/3rd building (though I
generalized it as "downtown" because I also observed one walking the
perimeter.) I didn't post to eBird, so thanks for that.
Chris Sloan replied to this list that same date, as far as we know none have
ever nested in downtown Nashville.
In my office, we have been keeping our office window roller shades at different
lengths down because there's been some too close for comfort fly bys of the
hawks, falcons and occasionally smaller birds.
I was going to talk to the building manager soon to draw awareness of and
respect for them, particularly with all the construction going on around down
here. I hope the Peregrine picked a safe spot for a nest.
Exciting indeed.

When I submitted my earlier report of a Peregrine Falcon in downtown Nashville,
largely out of deference to earlier reports, I was confused about the bird's
plumage - I really thought it was an adult bird, but every account of a
Peregrine in downtown recently has been of a juvenile. The report Rick
Shipkowski submitted earlier was quite literally while I was on the phone with
him, and he saw the bird outside his office. A couple of hours later, we were
actually birding-by-text "together," with him on the upper level floor of his
work building, and me on the street. We ID'd two Cooper's Hawks flying and a
possible Peregrine on the roof of the 5/3 Bank building, but it was too
obstructed to be sure.
I found the bird on Bridgestone tower a short time later. Lighting was a little
dark and I wasn't certain, but it is now clear from my photos on a desktop that
it is an adult. Rick has confirmed that it is definitely not the juvenile he
has seen for some weeks. So, there are more than one Peregrine Falcon hanging
out in downtown Nashville, for sure. I find that very exciting.

Nashville birders heading to the Preds game should look up at the northwest
corner of the bridgestone building above the letter "B." The earlier reported
Peregrine Falcon is currently perched there, and has seemed content to stay
there for the past hour.
