A good day for falcons.

Late this afternoon (Sat, 1 April 2006) I had a Peregrine Falcon
along Pellissippi Parkway (I-140) at the Tennessee River bridge
on the Knox/Blount county line. The falcon appeared to have
just taken off from the large cell-phone tower on the Blount Co.
side (a spot where Black and Turkey Vultures are usually seen
perching/roosting). There are several large river bluffs in
this area so it's worth looking for this bird and hopefully
a nest... though probably just a migrant.

A pair of Osprey were also seen in this area.
