August 22, 2004 Greene County, TN At about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 22, Alice Loftin and I observed a Peregrine Falcon circling actively over the pasture land on Jim Fox Road, just southeast of the Greeneville city limit. Later, at about 3:00 p.m., Don Holt, Jim Holt, and I observed three Eurasian Collared-Doves in the Agriculture Department parking lot at West Greene High School in the Mosheim community of Greene County. The previous high total for this newly arrived species was two birds, observed on July 31, 2004.
