Ran by at lunch today to look for geese at Pellissippi State campus in west Knox County, TN. Hoping the cold weather would bring back the Ross's Goose for count week. Only one Canada Goose was found. Instead, had a good-sized flock of gulls with 100-120 Ring-billed Gulls and 3-4 Bonaparte's Gulls... a species I don't normally see away from the lakes. On around behind the back parking lot I flushed a flock of sparrows and goldfinches that held a few Chipping Sparrows as well as Field Sparrows and Am Goldfinch.
