Five of us went out this afternoon with ranger Mark Taylor on a pontoon boat at
Edgar Evans State Park. After looking for an hour and a half we located the
Jaeger and were able to observe it for 20 minutes or more as the sun was
setting. If you plan to come look in the morning come to Floating Mills
Recreation Area (hotspot) and scan out over the large body of open water You
may need to park your car and walk out to the right a ways along the lake to
get better views of the lake. The bird was actively feeding so was flying
around constantly. Mark said he was not going to be taking a boat out
tomorrow.
