Dear Birders... Steve and I decided to get out and about this afternoon and enjoy the sunshine so we headed to Old Hickory Lake in Davidson County. Highlights included 2 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 1 (WESTERN) WILLET, 5 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS all near and around Snow Bunting Peninsula. As more fisherman arrived we decided to see what we could find on the Old Hickory Damn Trail. We were not disappointed. We had 9 species of Warbler and found a nesting pair of Red-Shouldered Hawks on the Willowswamp Loop Trail. The complete list of birds is below.
