odd that you couldn't find info - NE TN is a hotbed of birding activity.  I 
expect you'll hear from Wallace Coffey et al.  Check into tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 
, also Rick Knight's guide to birds of NE TN.   My own specialty is Rankin 
Bottoms & upper Douglas Lake, between Newport & White Pine -  best site for 
waterbirds in East TN, usually best explored with a canoe or kayak.
