[TN-Bird] Nighthawks movement

As I drove home to north Knoxville, I was stunned by the number of
flocks of nighthawks that I saw around 7:00 p.m.  The birds were milling
around over every field that I passed.  As I pulled into the
subdivision, I stopped to watch a flock flying up and down the primary
road.  I got out of the car and watched 20-30 birds fly up and down the
road between 5-15 ft. from the ground. I could have easily reached out
and touched several as they sped by.  I noticed a layer of dragonflies
flying beneath them; I never saw the birds take any dragonflies.  
I see this flocking behavior about this time of year, but I have never
witnessed this number of birds.  I would conservatively guess that I saw
well over 400-500 birds in all.  

What also amazed me is that most folks that I saw walking around the
neighborhood didn't even notice the birds.  I was amazed but not
