[TN-Bird] Nighthawk?????

Hi Birders,
I forgot to mention that I could swear that I heard a nighthawk "belching"
overhead as I walked out of the West Nashville (Davidson County) Post Office
around 6 PM last night after checking my mail. I gave a quick visual search
and
didn't see it then had to leave for a meeting to which I was in danger of
reaching late, I am pretty positive I heard one the night before as I walked
out
my door at dusk. I DO know nighthawks, but this seems a wee bit early. ????
