We had 14 people in 5 groups this year. It wasn’t the best of days and several
people commented on how slow things were in their area but we still ended up
with a total of 86 species. If I understand the data on Audubon's site we had a
low count of 17 species so that supports the expressed feelings. In the time
I’ve been compiling the count our total species has ranged from 78 to 94 with
an average of 88.5.
Highlights:
Red-breasted Merganser
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Misses:
Brown-headed Cowbird (is that bad?)
American Woodcock
Barred Owl
Thanks to everyone who helped,
