Subject: [TN-Bird] News from our birding friends in Georgia

Afternoon Tn-birders…

The following is news from our birding buddies in Georgia that you all might
find interesting and some might want to attend:

David Sibley will be the keynote speaker for the inaugural SAMposium: The Sam
Pate Naturalist Symposium that will be held at the Columbus Botanical Garden in
Columbus, GA on Saturday, March 14, 2020.  The event is in honor of Sam Pate
who was a longtime birder, naturalist, and educator.  Sam had a lasting impact
on people, both young and old,  Unfortunately,Sam passed away on Aug.31, 2019.
There will also be a SAMposium for Kids which will be held in the afternoon on
Sunday, March 15, 2020.  Details for both SAMposiums can be found using the
