[TN-Bird] Nature's Bloody Tooth, a question?

Yesterday, while sitting at the edge of a wet area near Oneal Lake, watching
Common Grackles feeding along the edge of a levee, a Common Crow jumped on a
Grackle and was quickly joined by a second. I assumed it was a fight over
food or territory rights but was wrong as the two Crows proceeded to hold the
Grackle down and kill it. I've seen Crows rob bird, squirrel and rabbit's
nests; I've seen them attack, kill and eat House Sparrows but I would have
thought
a Grackle would be a bit of a stretch. I have seen Crows mob what I thought
might have been an injured crow which was then killed but not eaten.
In the case of these two Crows, they immediately proceeded to feed on the
Grackle with one crow after a while taking the head and retiring to a tree to
feed at leisure, while the other finished up on the ground.
I would think, Grackle attacks by Crows are unusual but I'm asking, what is
the largest bird or animal others have seen Crows attack to eat?
