Checking the weather radar this morning to watch the overnight migrants touch down, I saw several large roosts around Nashville erupting at dawn. Some of their locations (you can't get exact locatons from the radar, especially farther from the base): Williamson County: E of I-65 and Franklin, in the area of Clovercroft Maury County: Just W of I-65, just S of Williamson Co. Line, E of Spring Hill, in the Kedron area. Rutherford County: Between Percy Priest and Murfreesboro Sumner County: near Gallatin Davidson County: near Nashville airport Macon/Trousdale/Smith Cos: Very near the triple junction of these three Anyone have any "ground truth" for these roosts? Are they blackbirds, robins, starlings, waxwings, something else?
