[TN-Bird] Nashville Spring Count results

The Nashville Spring Count took place May 8 on a beautiful, sunny day.  
Individual species' numbers were low for a lot of birds, but our total of 162 
species was the second highest in ten years.  Thank you to all who 
participated.  
Here are some of the highlights.
1 Pied-billed Grebe
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Cattle Egret
1 Blue-winged Teal
2 Northern Shoveler
2 Canvasback
3 Osprey
Bald Eagle 1 immature in Cheatham Co.
Sora 2 at Percy Priest Lake
11 species of shorebirds mostly from Percy Priest Lake and Cheatham Co.
1 Laughing Gull with full hood at Old Hickory Lake 
1 Collared Dove near 840 and I 24
Whip-poor-will and Chuck-will's-widow
all the woodpeckers except Sapsucker
1 Willow Flycatcher at Pardue's Pond in Cheatham Co.
2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers near 840 and I 24
all swallows except Bank
1 Bewick's Wren
1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet lingering
all the thrushes including Hermit
1 American Pipit at Percy Priest Lake
only 1 Loggerhead Shrike
all the vireos
32 warbler species: only misses were Golden-winged, Cerulean, Orange-crowned, 
Black-throated Blue, and Swainson's
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Blue Grosbeak
4 Dickcissels at Percy Priest Lake
11 sparrow species including Lark, Savannah, Grasshopper, Lincoln's, and 
Swamp
15 Bobolinks at Bell's Bend
Orchard Oriole
Baltimore Oriole
