Nashville CBC December 20, 2008 Nashville had a good count of 78 species, with the best highlight being the incredible arrival of the same two Whooping Cranes which spent last winter in the Bells Bend area (identified by their leg bands). They were spotted in the very same field as last year, and we hope that they decide to stay for a while. There was also one Snow Goose in that same field, no Northern Bobwhites or Turkey Vultures on the count, 1 adult Bald Eagle in Williamson County on Moran Rd., 4 Eurasian Collared-Doves in Bells Bend, 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers, no Loggerhead Shrikes, 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch at Warner Park, 11,699 American Robins, our only warbler - 80 Yellow-rumpeds, 13 Purple Finches, and 30 Pine Siskins.
