[TN-Bird] NTOS upcoming field trip to Ellington Agricultural Center

Saturday, October 15 - Ellington Agricultural Center
The Nashville chapter of the Tenn. Ornithological Society will
sponsor a field trip on Saturday, October 15 to the Ellington
Agricultural Center in Nashville. We invite anyone interested
in the walk to meet at 7:15 am at the Hogan Road Entrance
in the parking lot adjacent to the Iris Garden. We will bird
areas of diverse topography, including streams, meadows, and
woodlands, and look for late fall migrants. The trip will
last just part of the morning; bring water and snacks.
Directions:
At the major traffic intersection light at Franklin Pike/Road
and Old Hickory Blvd close to I-65, turn onto Franklin Pike
toward Nashville and away from Brentwood. Take Franklin Pike
about 2.2 miles to the stop light intersection with Otter
Creek Road and Hogan Road. Turn right onto Hogan Road and
continue straight for about 1.5 miles until it dead ends at
the "T" intersection with Marchant Drive. Go straight ahead
into the Ellington Agricultural Center and then bear right.
The Iris Garden parking area will be almost immediately on
your right before you head up the hill.
