AFter the main NTOS field trip, four of us including
our California visitor continued birding at a couple
additional sites despite intermittent rain and cold
weather.
Birds of interest included:
At Beaman Park (Nashville, TN, I believe it is in
Davidson County)-
Worm-eating Warbler (heard but not seen)
Lousiana Waterthrush (at least two seen along the
creek bed)
Gray-cheeked Thrush

The second site was along the Natchez Trace Parkway,
close to the terminus at Hwy 100. I believe it was
the first pulloff/parking area on the left heading
south from Hwy 100. I think this was Davidson County
too. Additional birds here included:
Blackburnian Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Worm-Eating Warbler
Kentucky Warbler (heard but not seen)

A great day all around, even with the unseasonable
weather.

Amy Potter
Nashville, TN
