Saturday, July 4 - Gossett Tract and Hidden Lake of Harpeth River State
Park

Saturday morning we'll bird two sections of Harpeth River State Park in
extreme west Davidson and Cheatham counties. We'll start with the more open
Gossett Tract while it's cooler, then head for the wooded trails of Hidden
Lake. The Gossett Tract is good for warblers such as Blue-winged, Prairie,
Chat, and Louisiana Waterthrush, and White-eyed Vireo, Blue Grosbeak, and
Indigo Bunting, while Hidden Lake will have woodland species. We'll be
walking on mostly level grass and dirt trails. This trip will last just the
morning. Meet at 7:00 at the Bellevue Park-N-Ride lot on Coley Davis Rd.
off of Hwy 70 at I-40 exit 196 to carpool. All are welcome
