If you are in the Nashville area this Thursday, April 20, please join the
Nashville Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society for its monthly
meeting and program. We'll gather at 7:00 p.m. and the meeting will start
at 7:15 p.m. at the Radnor Lake State Natural Area visitor's center, 1160
Otter Creek Rd.
This month's program is: *The Perils and Promises of the Piping Plover* by
Ashley Heeney.
Ashley will give an overview of the Piping Plover, a North American
specialty, and focus on their habitats and human actions that harm and help
what is arguably the most adorable bird that calls our beloved shores their
home. Ashley is a TOS board member who has traveled to all but one of the
sites where Piping Plovers nest, and developed recent interest in the bird
through photographing them. This is a rescheduled program you do not want
to miss! Public welcomed.
