The Nashville chapter of TOS will sponsor a Field Trip Saturday 29 May to
Beaman Park in western Nashville-Davidson Co.

We will meet at the Adventure Science Museum at 7:00am and carpool to Beaman
Park. For those wishing to meet us directly at Beaman Park, we will start at
the Creekside Trailhead along Little Marrowbone Road, not the Nature Center;
meet us in the lower parking lot at Creekside @7:30am.

Located on the western Highland Rim, Beaman offers deep-wood birding and
species not often found elsewhere in the Nashville Basin. The prime target
species is the Worm-eating Warbler, which nests at Beaman Park; however,
other species we should encounter include Louisiana Waterthrush, Ovenbird,
Pine Warbler, Kentucky Warbler, Northern Parula, Yellow-billed Cuckoo,
Yellow-throated Vireo, as well as Scarlet and Summer Tanagers.

This trip will last just the morning, but bring water, snacks, and lunch as
we will picnic nearby afterwards. Additionally, bringing insect repellant is
recommended.
