Walking out to the parking lot at lunch today (W Knox Co, 19 March), I heard then saw my first confirmed N Rough-winged Swallow of the year checking out the retaining wall drains they use for nest sites behind our buildings. I thought I heard one call once last week but could not confirm with another call or visual.
