Returning home from Cades Cove I found a Mute swan resting on the bank of
the Little River across from Apple Valley Farms on US 321 in Townsend.

At the Cades Cove Sewerage ponds were 49 Bufflehead, 6 Mallards, 21 Canada
geese, 2 Snipe and 1 American pipit. The highlight of the day was a Barred
owl observed from Sparks Lane.
