Danny Shelton and I hiked the 4.5 mile Mossy Ridge trail at Nashville’s
Percy Warner Park this morning. During the course of our hike we heard no
less than six Hooded Warblers. The birds were far enough apart that we
don’t believe we were counting any one bird as two.

despite the near perfect habitat for this species- dense hardwood forests
