Blount Co

Large numbers of waterfowl were seen today from Ish Creek Boat Ramp in
Louisville. I had seen some ducks far out from the Scenic Point side, but
walking the trail to the right of the boat ramp afforded much closer views,
although a scope was necessary for some viewing. My count included:

2 Canada Goose

2 Wood Duck

1 Canvasback

391 Redhead

1 Ring-necked Duck

2 Greater Scaup

24 Lesser Scaup

1 WHITE-WINGED SCOTER male

2 Bufflehead

6 Common Goldeneye

37 Hooded Merganser

1 COMMON MERGANSERANSER (male)

2 Red-breasted Merganser (males)

67 Pied-billed Grebe

7 Horned Grebe

Down the road at Phelp's Dairy Farm pond area of note were

8 SNOW GOOSE (4 of each phase) flew into the field on the pond's west

1 American Pipit
