When: Friday, June 4 (evening) - Saturday, June 5 (late afternoon) You may
come for all or part of this activity.
Where: Mike and Jean Obrist's place, Goodwater Rd, Cocke Co, TN
Who is invited: anyone with an interest in moths, butterflies, birds,
dragonflies, wild flowers, nature photography, etc.
This will be the first get-together of people on the TN-Moth group, and we are
also inviting others who have similar interests. We will meet Friday around
suppertime for comraderie, sharing pix, exploring our area, etc. After dark,
we will set up a moth attraction station and photograph the visitors. Anyone
who wishes is welcome to camp out here on our property. There is lots of room
for campers and tents. Pitch your tent beside the creek and be lulled by the
water flowing over the shoals.

Sat am: Birders should try to drag themselves out of bed by 6:15 to hear a
plethora of bird songs. Butterfly and dragonfly people may sleep in a bit,
then join the birders and us for a hearty breakfast in our old farmhouse, and
working on moth IDs. Forays can be made all day Saturday into various habitats
within a three-mile radius of our place. Such habitats include: yard, old
buildings, bridges, creek, pond, river, open pasture and hay fields, overgrown
pasture, hardwood and mixed forest, dark hollows and sunny back roads. There
is quite a variety of species here.

Please RSVP. I will send directions.
