I played the sound from the Merlin ID app for Pewee and the other flycatchers,
and our bird vocalization was identical to the YB, and that's how we deduced
that it was a YB.

Can you elaborate on what details were seen? "Very vocal, high in
deciduous tree" leans heavily in favor of E Wood-Pewee which has a call
very similar to YB Flycatcher (in addition to the pee-a-wee, pee-oh).
Yellow-bellied FCs tend to stay low in thick underbrush and would not be
expected to be very vocal.

A large group of birders from near and far had an exquisite morning at
Radnor Lake in Nashville today with perfect weather, good sharing of
knowledge and travel stories, life birds, and incredible photo
opportunities. Highlights, to name a few, were two close-up female Golden
Winged Warblers and a male Common Yellowthroat. A small group also
witnessed quite a spectacle: Wild Turkeys - a male on a log pumping his
chest and fanning his feathers, spinning in a circle, with a harem of 19
females spread out in a circular pattern around him, also making a ruckus.
He (or they) emitted a not so pleasant smell during this event. Thanks to
