Shelby Co. TN

At Dacus Bar on Saturday, a group of 5 Green-winged Teal were resting while
2 Sanderling rushed up and down the waters edge. Dc Cormorants and Great
Egrets made up the other characters in the Autumn play and only one Cooper's
Hawk
circled high over the far tree line. No Peregrines in sight.

At Ensley Bottoms, TVA Lake played host to all the normal crew with periodic
explosions of Cormorants. At the "Pits", Snowflake the partial albinistic
Least Sandpiper is still hanging around with the multitude of its plain
brethren. Still, 5 Western Sandpipers, a few Pectorals and a couple of Lesser
Yellowlegs are waiting for the right wind to blow them south. Six Dunlin were
new
for the week and an American Golden-Plover in almost full breeding plumage was
a nice bonus.
Good Birding !!!
