Mike Todd: I left Musick's Campground at South Holston Lake, Sullivan Co., TN at 1 p.m. eastern time today (9/12) as did Terry Witt who had been keep the morning vigil along with several others. There was almost nothing there. Not one tern was seen during the morning. Terry and others saw maybe three Eared Grebes and a Sanderling. Birders were still coming from over a wide region throughout the day and the vigil is still being kept as I write (7:30 p.m. eastern). Maybe someone else can post a later update. Sorry about this bad information. Let's go birding...
