[TN-Bird] Migration at Norris Dam area and Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery

Yesterday, Tuesday 9-30-03, Betty Reid and I birded from 9:30 until 3:00
near Norris Dam in Anderson County, TN. Some of the goodies we got were:
WARBLERS:
Tenn-30+
N Parula-1
Chestnut-sided-15+
Magnolia-25+
Cape May-3
Blk-thr Green-2
Blackburnian-2
Pine-1
Prairie-1
Bay-breasted-(possibly including a few Blackpolls) 20+
Hooded-1
VIREOS:
White-eyed-1
Blue-headed-1
Yellow-throated-2
Philadelphia-1
Red-eyed-6
OTHERS:
All of our woodpeckers except Red-headed (2 YB Sapsuckers)
At least 15 Pewees
At least 20 Phoebes
1 Wood Duck
1 Kestrel
1 Red-tailed Hawk
1 Summer Tanager
6 Scarlet Tanagers
8 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery,near Clinton TN, had no ponds suitable for
shorebirds except for 50+ Killdeers. There were 2 DC Cormorants , 2
Pied-billed Grebes, 2 GB Herons and 2 Green Herons.
