Bells Bend Park
Davidson Co., TN
Jan 18, 2022
This morning I went to Bells Bend. As I prepared to drive into the
outdoor center parking area I spotted a single MERLIN resting atop
a large snag on the large tree next to Old Hickory Blvd. When I
got out of my car I noticed that it was eating breakfast. Through
my binoculars it was clear that the MERLIN had caught a bird,
although I was unable to tell what kind. When it finished after
a minute or two it flew off over the fields.
