The Memphis chapter has some outstanding activities in store for April.

this Saturday!
This Sat., April 8 - Field trip to Wall Doxey State Park, south of Holly
Springs, MS. Meet at the parking lot at 7:30 a.m. Entrance fee is $3 per
car. Dick Preston is our guide.

Church, 2425 S. Germantown Rd., Germantown, TN. "Down South and Down Under:
Avian Behavior Around the World" presented by Stephen Ferguson, University
of Memphis Dept. of Biological Sciences. Refreshments served.

Sat., April 22 & Wed. April 26 - Field trips to the Wolf River
Environmental Restoration Greenway Trail led by Jay Walko and Dick Preston.
Meet at the main parking lot on the north side of the river at 7:30 a.m.
Jay's directions from Collierville: Head north on Collierville-Arlington Rd
(Hwy 205) across the Wolf River bridge. In about 1/2 mile there will be a
pond on your right. Slow down as the entrance comes up fast on your left.
The main entrance is marked by a sign that's next door to a farm house.
Slowly follow the gravel road; this trail has a lot of bird activity. Go
down to the parking area. On the Mis-South Trails map below, this is the
parking area by the trail leading to weirs #4 & 5.

Sat., April 29 - Field trip to the Earth Complex aka "The Pits" with Dick
Preston. Meet at the TVA ash ponds by the Allen Steam Plant at 7:30 a.m.
