TN-birders, Dollyann and I went out to the park/camping area at Melton Hill Dam in Roane county, off highway 95, for a couple of hours this morning. Following are the highlights: Bonaparte's Gull - 350+ (conservative estimate). There was a large raft of them just above the dam. The rest of these records were found in the campground area, on the "upper" road; mostly just before campsite 38: Brown-headed Nuthatch - 2 both kinglets lots of juncos FOX SPARROW - I had 4 in the scope at one time (!), with about 7 total. This has been the most reliable place for this species we have found in recent years. Great birding, Ron Hoff and Dollyann Myers Clinton, TN
