Good morning TnBirders…I’m posting the following for Haley Holiman, Graduate
Student working with David Hanni and TWRA. She needs your help…see below and
respond to HER if you can help. Thanks.

Hello! I am a master's student at Tennessee Tech University studying secretive
marsh birds throughout the state. This includes rails , bitterns, gallinules
and grebes. In collaboration with TWRA, we are trying to assess habitat
suitability and availability for these rare birds. Last year, we surveyed most
of west TN and this year we are looking to add sites in central TN.
If you have seen any of the birds listed below somewhere in central TN, please
shoot me an email at lhholiman42@xxxxxxxxxx<mailto:lhholiman42@xxxxxxxxxx>. Or,
if you know of any marsh or wetland sites that could be surveyed for marsh
birds. Specific addresses or even GPS points would be greatly appreciated. If
you have any questions about the project, feel free to reach out as well!
Sincerely,
Haley Holiman
