[TN-Bird] Marbled Godwit-Buffy-Black Tern - Memphis

North Treatment Plant,
TVA Lake and Ensley
Shelby Co. TN
 
The North Treatment ponds are full of water forcing the few birds into the  
weeds. A single, molting adult Black Tern came in for a little rest in the 
early  morning. At TVA Lake, the DC Cormorants, Canada Geese, Mallards and 
16 feeding  Northern Shovelers were all I could find until about 12:30 and 
then I almost  missed a Marbled Godwit that snuck into the feeding Shovelers; 
that is one BIG  Wind Bird.......
 
Over at the "Pits", mostly Least with a sprinkling of Semi-sands on the dry 
 beds but a nice immature Buff-breasted was found on the spread fields west 
of  the ponds. These birds just blend in and are DIFFICULT to find in those

I ended going down to Mississippi where I found one of the oddest  
shorebirds I ever seen. I'll post some photos later.
