Leading bands of wind / rain from remnants of Hurricane Florence
hit the area last night & continued through today (and beyond).
Common Tern - 350 + This is more than 3 x previous high count in state!!
Well seen; could not pick out any definite Forster's.

Sanderling - 1 (continuing)
Least Sandpiper - 7
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1
Pectoral Sandpiper - 3

Elsewhere:
Pete Range reported 50 Com Terns & 6 Caspian Terns at Boone Lake near
the dam.
Earlier today, I saw a White-rumped Sandpiper at Davis Marina on the upper
end of Boone Lake, Sullivan Co.
As the system moves closer tonight, tomorrow may be good too.
