This afternoon while driving along Port Royal Rd in Adams I saw a flock of
shorebirds in a cow pasture. I pulled over and was pleased to see more than a
dozen Lesser Yellowlegs (possibly a Greater was in there too), 2 Long-billed
Dowitchers and 3 Wilson's Phalaropes (2 males, 1 female). I called my buddy Ed
Schneider and he was able to come up and get some photos. Presumably the recent
storm is responsible for these birds being here. If anyone else wants to try
for them please let me know and I can give you directions.

Also, Dickcissels have returned and were singing in many places that I visited
today.
