We tried for the third time to find the Loggerhead Shrike that Morton
Massey reported recently in Monroe County. We likely found the same one,
close to where Morton saw his/it. As we drove on New Hope Road just north
of 6304, a shrike flew to the left across the roadside field and perched in
a sapling in the fence line that is parallel to the road. This is the same
spot where we saw and reported a Lark Sparrow June 30.
