Today I searched for the Loggerhead Shirke found near the Cleveland Utilities
Water Treatment Plant on Dry Valley Road, in Bradley County, TN, as reported by
John Champion.
I was able to locate John's bird just down the street from the plant entrance,
right at the corner of Dry Valley Road NE & Tasso Ln NE.
However, I also located a SECOND Loggerhead Shrike on the wire fence along
Tasso Lane where it runs along west side the air field. This fence follows a
straight line, except where it corners around a culvert. The second bird was
perched about 15 north from where the fence corners.
The following link should take you to a Google map where location "A" is where
I located John's Loggerhead, and "B" is the location where I found the second
Loggerhead. You should be able to see the culvert if you zoom in.
