I had my first of Fall adult Lesser Black-backed Gull pass through at
Pace Point this evening while monitoring lake activity.
Most of the activity turned out to be bipeds on boats, but there were
good Ring-billed numbers and some of the other regulars.
Laughing Gull, 2 first cycle
Herring Gull, 1 second cycle, 1 adult.
Ring-billed Gull 950
Lesser black-backed Gull, 1 adult
Caspian Tern 28
Forster's Tern 5, all basic plumage
A stop by the DRU revealed a lot of mudflats on the lake, but no
shorebirds were seen, so we decided not to kayak the normal route.
