This morning Warren Bielenberg and I heard two least bitterns at Kyker Bottoms.
This makes the third consecutive trip to Kyker Bottoms in which I have heard
least bitterns. (They were previously heard on April 28th and May 13th.) I
saw them twice last year, but have only heard them thus far this year.
The least bitterns were the only birds of special note from today's trip.
Shorebirds were basically a no-show.

I forgot about attempting an audio recording today of the least bitterns until
it was too late. However, a couple of days ago I uploaded an audio from the
visit on May 13th. It is not great, but it is perhaps better than the short
snippet from April 29th. Here is a link to that updated eBird report with the
