Banding at Greenway Farms today (10/25/07) produced some interesting = late season migrants. I banded a Wood Thrush and a Blue-headed Vireo, and I = heard a Gray Catbird. Kevin Calhoon was with me and saw 3 Tree Swallows. I = also banded 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 3 White-throated Sparrows (I also = recaptured a WTSP I banded in April of 2006), 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet, 1 Hermit Thrush, and the usual assortment of resident species. I also heard a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker out there, which is the first of the season.
