My Sunday morning ride around the Cedar Hill and Adams areas of Robertson Co.
was somewhat fruitful today. Numbers were down, but the variety was pretty
good. Highlights were 2 Horned Larks, 9 Pipits, 3 Savannah Sparrows, 2 Eurasian
Collared Doves, 1 Northern Harrier (an adult for a change), and, best of all, 2
Loggerhead Shrikes in the same tree at the Woodall farm. Swamp, White-throated
and White-crowned Sparrows are still around. And Eastern Meadowlarks were
fairly numerous and easily seen as they were singing up a storm.
